Hello everyone,
We hope that you and your families are well and are remaining safe and sane in these unprecedented times.
We are now reaching the time of year where, ordinarily, we would be announcing our plays that we would be planning to share with you in the coming months. We have not done this, partly out of a sense of loss for the plays of our fellow Cambridge theatre companies which have been cancelled or delayed, and partly because we simply do not know what the future will hold.
We hope that by sharing details of one of our productions planned for winter time, we will provide you with something to look forward to and a chance to reconnect with theatre and friends once normality has resumed.
This is our production of Dunsinane by David Greig, which is currently scheduled to be staged in late November 2020. Our guest director, Chris Avery, is currently working out ways with our cast for rehearsals to begin in the coming months despite ongoing restrictions.
In addition to the core cast, we will be looking for a number of actors to play the smaller but pivotal and hilarious roles of soldiers and ladies, so please do get in touch if you would like to be considered for one of these roles and we will keep your details ready for when we can take things forward.
We will keep you updated with plans for Dunsinane and the rest of our season as the situation develops. In the meantime, we must sadly pull together by staying apart. We thank you all for playing your part and behaving so well and we can’t wait to see you all soon in your shows and ours.
Warmest wishes,
All at Corkscrew
