The Winter’s Tale

William Shakespeare

ADC Theatre, Cambridge, 17 December – 21 December 2024 19:45 (14:30 Saturday matinee)

Exit pursued by a bear.

Corkscrew Theatre bring Shakespeare’s classic tale of jealousy and redemption to the ADC this Christmas – featuring this rather difficult stage direction (how will they do that?).

The beast inside the room is of course Leontes, King of Sicilia, who pursues his wife Hermione to an early grave (it seems), suspecting her of an affair with his best friend.

A heady mix of dark and light, tragedy and comedy, and finally redemption (with a sprinkling of snow).
