The Concept
Developed from an original idea in January 2025, the piece evolved through an open and collaborative process of workshops and rehearsals. The company began by developing a shared vocabulary for physical storytelling, establishing a common language from which the work could grow. From this foundation, individual cast members took responsibility for specific scenes, each bringing an initial concept that was then explored, refined and developed collectively by the ensemble.
This process ran in close dialogue with the composition of the music, which in turn informed the eventual orchestration, allowing movement and sound to shape one another throughout the development of the piece. The concept and choreography were devised collaboratively by the company, with equal creative ownership shared by all involved.
This is a true ensemble work, further enriched by video, lighting design and simple styling, which together help to tell this very old story in a completely fresh, engaging and contemporary way.
