Cambridge Drama Festival 2015

We are delighted to announce that Corkscrew will be entering a teeny tiny play into the Cambridge Drama Festival at the end of April.

“The Dreaming” by Richard James

A quirky two-hander featuring two talented young actors; Farah Najib and Ben Rowland.

Short, mysterious and fairly silly in parts, it had it’s first outing at our Young Talent Showcase last year but we all felt there was great deal more to it.

For those of you not familiar with the Festival it is a week of one act amateur plays with adjudication from a GODA professional.

It would be nice to have an audience for us and whatever else we are sharing the stage with on Friday 24th April at The Mumford Theatre, Cambridge.

I organise the Welwyn Drama Festival – to be held this year 18-23 May, at the Barn Theatre, Welwyn Garden City. We often accept teams who have also entered the Cambridge festival – it’s good to think you have more than one chance of performing the play you have spent so much time rehearsing! We run a full week of one act plays from ‘adult’ teams; Welwyn Garden City has its own Youth Drama Festival in March.

For more info, check out the website, or please get in touch if you have any queries.

Hope to hear from you soon,
    Sharon Jolly

      Hi Sharon,

Thanks for getting in touch. I believe you’ve spoken to Lesley about this by email now.

      Many thanks,

We would have loved to come and support Farah and Ben again, but unfortunately will be en route home from Norway that evening.
    Good luck to all concerned!

      Thanks Judy,

Sorry you can’t make it on the night. We’ll tell Ben he’s got to do a private performance for you!

      Have a safe trip.
